G12 class antifreeze is an advanced cooling fluid.
G12 antifreezes use carboxylic acids as anti-corrosion additives, which is why they are referred to as carboxylate antifreezes. Their distinctive feature is that carboxylate additives do not form a protective layer over the entire surface of the cooling system but instead activate only at sites where corrosion occurs, forming protective layers no more than one micron thick.
