Diesel exhaust fluid production

The production of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) for reducing nitrogen oxides in diesel engine emissions was launched by BAKSS Company in 2013. Only high-quality, certified raw materials are used in the manufacturing process. Every batch undergoes rigorous quality control in the in-house production laboratory to ensure compliance with technical specifications.

HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT

Humanity’s efforts to make life easier are difficult to overstate. A person walking through city streets on foot is often seen as unusual. The number of vehicles is growing exponentially, and each one releases a complex mixture of toxic substances into the atmosphere—including nitrogen oxides, which negatively impact both human health and the overall ecological environment. Diesel engines are especially significant contributors to this issue.

The invention of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system has dramatically reduced vehicle emissions’ environmental impact. All modern diesel engines are now equipped with SCR systems, which lower harmful emissions to meet Euro 4 / Euro 5 environmental standards. A key consumable required for SCR system operation is a specialized fluid based on a urea solution. During catalytic reduction, nitrogen oxides react with urea (carbamide), converting into harmless substances: nitrogen gas and water.

Today, millions of drivers use our diesel exhaust fluid to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions, contributing alongside BAKSS Company to environmental protection.

P.S. All BAKSS Company vehicles with diesel engines are equipped with SCR systems. To reduce exhaust toxicity, we use our own urea-based DEF product.
